That’s where Ronald McDonald House® in Halifax comes in. They provide a home-away-from-home while your child is being treated at the IWK.
Your credit union is proud to support families as they stay in Halifax during their child’s treatment in partnership with Ronald McDonald House Charities® Atlantic.
Members Stay Free
Your credit union will cover the nightly room rate for members to stay at Ronald McDonald House in Halifax so you can focus less on finding a place to stay, and more on what matters most, your family.
Adopt-a-Room Program
Credit Unions are proud to participate in the Adopt-a-Room program, which helps reduce the operating cost of a room so that families are only charged $11 per night. The actual cost of operating a room is $99 per night.
For the last three years, credit unions have covered the cost of over 50 families staying at Ronald McDonald House in Halifax while their children were being treated at the IWK.
That totals over 580 nights and counting.
How to use the Program.
If you’re staying or planning to stay at Ronald McDonald House in Halifax, simply let the check in staff know you’re a member of one of the PEI Credit Unions and the rest will be taken care of for you. It’s that easy. Certain conditions do apply, including but not limited to being a member in good standing for at least six months prior to your stay.
